Spring is my favorite season overall and to dress for. There's just something so refreshing about spring clothing... especially after the long winter that we had this year. I'm not currently buying a lot of spring clothing just yet (because 9 months pregnant), but I'm definitely doing a fair amount of browsing and picking up things I know will work now and in a couple months (ie bags, hats and shoes). I wanted to share what's on my spring radar.

I told you I like a good off-the-shoulder top and jeans for spring… it’s just too easy. This has been my go-to outfit lately because of the crazy weather. We’ve had a lot of days with “May gray” mixed in with some sunshine. And since it hasn’t been too warm usually I can get away with wearing a simple combo like this… I usually bring a denim jacket since I’m always cold.

The day we left New York we had the whole morning free to do whatever we wanted. We picked up bagels and coffee and headed over to the high line to picnic. It was extra hot and I tried to stay cool by throwing on the lightest clothes I packed and my new favorite hat. I try to pack as many neutrals as possible to make situations like this a little easier. These shorts were a last minute addition to my suitcase, but I would have been lost without them! I’m savoring summer nights where the sun is still out when Jeff gets home from work. We’ve been eating on our patio almost every night and it’s just so nice. This dress is perfect for ushering in those late summer days that turn into nights. Not to mention it’s perfect price. I love everything about it, the color blocking and pleats scream “twirl,” which I tried doing the night we took these pics. I bought this hat while I was in New York and have been wearing it non-stop. Make sure to snatch one up before it sells out! continue reading
