Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been thinking back to things I bought and loved in 2018. An easy way to do this is look in your search history on amazon, or any other sites you shop on a lot. I put together my list of everything from fashion to beauty to home decor items to even a couple kid products I loved. Here are my ten favorite purchases from last year.
Fashion
Teddy jacket – I only got this jacket about a month ago and could have worn it each day since if that gives you an idea of how much I love it. It’s a great neutral that goes with so many outfits. I’ve worn it the most with black so far. It comes in a bunch of different colors and is such a steal.
Levis – I fell in love with this pair of jeans in 2018 and sadly I’ve had to put them on hold until after I have this baby. These are high-waisted and real denim (not stretchy). They’re super flattering and suck you in in all the right places. I love doing a front tuck or full tuck to highlight my waist.
Home
Outdoor lounge chairs – Back in April Wayfair was having a huge sale and I bought these on a whim. I’d always wanted outdoor lounge chairs and had the perfect backyard for them. I spent a lot of time on them from April on and can’t wait for it to get warm again so I can sun my bump on them.
Coffee table – A new coffee table had been on my list for years. Years!! I could never decide what kind I wanted. Jeff found this one on West Elm late last summer and we bought it to complete our living room. It really ties the whole room together and is just what I wanted.
Macrame table runner – I’d had my eye on this runner for a while but never seen it in person. One day in late summer I was in Anthropologie and found one and it was on sale. It’s been on my dining room table ever since and is the perfect boho touch.
Wine glasses – Who knew something as seemingly simple as wine glasses would make this list? I love the shape of these. I got the red wine glasses but drink both red and white in them… I just found the white to be too small. Now when I’m feeling left out I’ll have sparkling water or a mocktail out of them and feel like I’m participating.
Kid
Ikea kid’s table – When Crosby started boycotting her high chair we knew it was time for a little table and chairs set for her. The only problem was we weren’t finding any we loved. We came across this simple set from Ikea and decided to DIY it. Jeff took on most of those duties and I love how it turned out. You can see the whole post on it here.
Flat lid sippy cups – We tried a lot of different sippy cups in 2018 but these have ended up being my favorites, especially when we’re at home. They were the first cup Crosby really got the hang out of drinking from and pretty much the only ones that don’t leak when they’re tossed on the ground (a regular occurrence with a toddler)/ the reason they’re my favorite for at home.
Beauty
NKD Skin self tanner – I’m a big self tanner junkie and discovered NKD when I received a bottle in a PR package last spring. I’ve been hooked ever since! It’s all organic which gives me a little peace of mind using since I’m pregnant and really doesn’t have much of a scent. I love the “gradual glow” shade.
Jade/rose quartz rollers – There’s been a lot of hype with face rollers the past few years but 2018 was the year I finally started using them. I bought both of these last summer and have used them pretty much daily ever since. My face looks a lot fuller when I’m pregnant and I’ve been rolling it to try to tone that down. I keep them in the refrigerator.
