All Things Pineapple

Happy Saturday! Before I dive into my weekend I thought I’d share a little post full of things I’m pining over (pun intended). :)

If you’re anything like me you avoid stores and malls at all costs on the weekends… such amateur hour. To fill the shopping void I spend countless time browsing online and end up with little collages. This top is currently on it’s way to me. I’m such a sucker for a pineapple, I’m even incorporating them into my wedding theme and I’ll be ordering these ASAP! I just can’t pass up a trinket or a piece of clothing pineapple related in ANY way.

Enjoy your weekend!

Shorts in Winter

A fun thing about living in Southern California is we never have to store away our summer clothes. This past weekend, for example, was warm enough for shorts and I was so excited to break out this new pair Jeff got me for Christmas. To keep my look seasonally appropriate I wore my favorite booties instead of sandals.

It’s no secret that blush, white and camel is one of my favorite color schemes and I had fun wearing them for a day at The Anaheim Packing House. If you live in the area, have you ever been? It’s like the most trendy food court ever with so much to look at and eat. We could have easily broken our “no carb January” streak there… the grilled cheese bar was calling my name. So was the craft your own pizza place. So many reasons to go back!

Valentine’s Day Gifts for Her

valentine's day gift guide

I can’t believe it’s already this time of year. January always seems extra dull because the Christmas decorations are gone and everything feels cold and bare. Luckily, the start of February brings a lot of festive with Valentine’s Day! Jeff and I don’t really do much to celebrate other than cards and dinner, but I thought I’d put together a fun little gift guide with things every girl would love. (Hello splurge heels and bag).

What are you Valentine’s traditions/plans? I’d love to hear.

SAG Awards Style

Did you watch the SAG Awards or any the pre-shows? I used to watch the red carpet and wish I was there, now I’m there and long to watch from bmw in my pj’s. Wine optional. The grass is always greener. Anyway, what I love about the SAG’s is that they’re a little less formal than the Golden Globes or the Oscar’s and everyone is much more relaxed. For some reason it’s always really hot in LA on that day. A random Sunday in January… go figure.

Because it was so warm (85 degrees) I wanted to be comfortable so I strayed from my typical black red carpet uniform. Of course I forgot my wrap and the AC was blasting backstage but I survived.

Is it just me or do Tuesdays really blow? You’re over the buzz from the weekend and Friday is still so far away. It doesn’t help that it’s the end of January and we’re all cold and sick of our winter wardrobes. If you’re currently snowed in on the east coast take a little comfort in knowing it’s gray and rainy in Southern California. If it’s payback summer-like weather we had over the weekend I guess I’ll take it.

I’m currently thinking ahead to warmer days… specifically my bachelorette weekend and honeymoon and have pulled some resort style inspiration.

Hope your week is off to a great start – thanks for reading!

New Year Fitness Goals

workout5

I’m not usually one to make a fitness New Years resolution, but with my wedding only months away it seems like the perfect time. I’m making it a priority to not only eat healthy (no carbs January) but actually workout too. I have a hard time with that one. I get up at 5 am for my commute and by the time I get home I’m completely wiped out. Plus as a stylist I’m constantly on my feet and move around quite a bit, so I’ve always felt like I already get a pretty good workout at work.

This year I’m not letting those excuses stop me and have teamed up with Target® C9 to share a workout look I’m loving. I’m also very fortunate to live blocks from the water and this amazing trail. How can you not enjoy working out with views like these? When it comes to activewear I like to keep it pretty simple t-shirts, leggings and running shoes are all I need. I love how comfortable these are and might be guilty of using them for lounge wear too. Oops!
