Chunky Knit Sweater

Confession: I wore this outfit Sunday and then again to work on Monday. A chunky knit sweater is basically all I want to wear when it’s below 70 degrees. I love it paired with destroyed denim and heels. I slightly altered the look for work by removing my hat and wearing slip-ons to save my feet. High heels aren’t usually practical for running around on set all day.

These jeans are a new fav. The slits at the knee probably make my mom cringe, (and look like I could have done them myself) but I’m all about them right now. They go just as well with t-shirts and booties as they do with sweaters and heels, so I’ll be wearing them on repeat all winter long.

Winter Wedding Looks

I’ve had a few questions recently about what to wear to winter weddings. And I agree, they can be tricky! I’m actually going to one Friday, so I thought it was the perfect time to put together a collage of fun wedding looks. My personal philosophy is to only wear black if you want to be boring or it’s different like this jumpsuit. If you’re totally lost color-wise jewel tones are always good. Below are my favorites for a black tie, cocktail or “anything  goes” wedding.

Winter Ready

I know the first day of winter isn’t until next weekend, but it’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas… finally! The weather has significantly cooled down and the parties have filled our weekends. This past weekend I was actually able to take an old favorite coat out of hibernation and top it off with my new beanie. Of course, my coat didn’t stay on long, but it was still fun to layer up for a change one chilly morning.

Also, I’m so happy to announce that I’m sharing my wedding planning process on a series of posts over at The Knot, check out my first one here.

Holiday Gift Guide: Jetsetter

We are in the holiday home stretch with less than two weeks til Christmas! So crazy. Every year there seem to be a few gifts that are a little harder to shop for than the rest. I rack my brain to try to think of something they need for their day-to-day life. Sometimes those gifts end up being the most fun because they’re so personalized.

This guide is for the constant jetsetter. We all know the type, maybe they are constantly traveling for work, take amazing vacations a few times a year or never stay in the same place very long. They seem to always need a phone charger, but that’s boring so get them a fun colored cord. Airplanes call for cozy socks, eye masks and, of course, fun passport cases. Bottom line? Traveling can get tedious, just have some fun and add some color into their travel bag.

Holiday Casual

There’s nothing more festive this time of year that a plaid flannel shirt and pops of red. I’ve been stocking up on plaid shirts lately and this one is such a favorite. The colors make it easy to wear with many different things, I wore it to a party a few weeks ago with a black leather skirt. Speaking of leather, this jacket is currently additionally marked down 50% off. It might be too good to pass up as a holiday gift to yourself!

Wish I Was Wearing Wednesday

This winter I’ve found myself reaching for sweaters and distressed denim over and over again. It’s my no-brainer look when I’m too sleep deprived to put together an outfit for work.  Paired with some poppy accessories it’s a look you could wear so many places. These high tops make me feel nostalgic for middle school when I wore the classic blue low top version and I’m dying to get my hands on them!

Just Some Things…

When weeks start to drag I usually result to online window shopping. I fill my carts on my favorite websites and then bail. I’ve been trying not to buy anything for myself this close to the holidays and this is my cure. Check out some of my recent finds below. Maybe something will make it’s way to me in the near future…

Long Sleeve Romper

It’s probably crazy to see me dressed for summer when most of you are bundled up in puffer vests, blanket scarfs and boots, but the weather goes back and forth here. We had a very warm Thanksgiving so the day after Jeff and I decided to take advantage of the weather and walk Mac at the beach. It was almost too hot for that, we probably should have worn our bathing suits.

I received this romper a few weeks back and was so excited to have a chance to wear it. It’s going to be a staple in my wardrobe this spring/summer so it was fun to take it for a little test drive. When we have sporadic summer-like weather rompers are my favorite thing to wear… you can shop some of my favorites below. They’d also be the perfect pieces to pack if you’re going somewhere warm this holiday season.

Bauble Bar’s Chic Dog Collars

Obsessed doesn’t even begin to describe my feeling towards Bauble Bar’s brand new dog collar line! I get that my enthusiasm might be ridiculous if you don’t have a dog, but I’ve been searching for chic collars for Macallan for years without finding anything I loved. This couldn’t come at a better time since I’ve started to look for the perfect collar for her for our wedding.

It was so hard to narrow them down and pick favorites, I really love them all. The xs/s sized collars would also be perfect for a cat. Do you have a fav?

Holiday Gift Guide: Under $50

Is anyone else having a hard time believing Christmas is in just over two weeks? I’ve made a big dent in my shopping list but still have some odds and ends to pick up. I’m hoping to continue to avoid the mall and finish online in the next week or so.

Gift Guide: Under $50

This weeks gift guide is for those fun things under $50. These items would be perfect for your besties, sister or even mom. I always love festive and cozy gifts, like this fair isle infinity scarft and adorable beanie. This price rang is pretty perfect for most gifts; I know I’ll be adding a few more to my list. Are there any gifts under $50 that you love?
