I swear it was Friday like 5 minutes ago… how is it already Monday?! Hope you had a great weekend. Our weather was amazing… 75 and sunny both days so we took advantage and stayed outside as much as possible. We even watched the Super Bowl in our backyard. It’s been awhile since I did an instagramoutfit roundup, so I figured it was time for an update. Remember you can always shop these looks from instagram if you sign up with LiketoKnow.it.
Hope your Monday is a piece of cake – thanks for reading!
Happy Friday! Was it just me, or was this week extra long? I’m kicking off the weekend with a little home post. Our house is still being renovated so I thought I’d share one of my current inspiration boards for our kitchen nook.
We already have the table and two of these chairs, but need some finishing touches to spruce it up. The light fixture that was there when we bought the house was dated and not our taste, so I’ve been searching for a new one. I have my eyes on a few right now.. this copper pendant is so pretty and I love how it looks with this rug. But I’m also loving this one. What do you think?!
This winter has felt a little too long and cold for this Southern California girl. I’m ready for a sandy beach and some warm sunshine. So to celebrate the groundhog not seeing it’s shadow yesterday, I’m sharing a wish list of all the things you need for your next beach trip. Or desert trip. Or if you want to wear in your house with the heat blasting. No judgement here! #treatyourself
I have a serious collection of striped shirts. They’re so classic and versatile and I get so much wear out of them. This one is new, under $20 and I’m already imagining wearing it to the beach in the summer over bikinis and cutoffs. I kept it seasonally appropriate here with my favorite faux fur vest and flares.
But let’s talk about the vest for a minute. It’s a piece I always add to my outfit last-minute when I want to feel extra cozy. It feels like a blanket and I find myself wearing it over my PJ’s around the house too.
Happy Monday! Hope you had a good weekend – I spent the first half of mine at the SAG Awards and the second half relaxing. I’m excited to share a new series I’ll be doing monthly with all of my favorite things from the past month. This month I have a little of everything: beauty, home decor and fashion in my top ten.
I’ve had my eyes on this blanket for over a year. I love the colors and texture and can’t wait until my house is done so I can have it on the couch. It’s helped keep me sane by adding some pretty into the disaster zone that is my house mid-remodel.
I’ve been a longtime fan of Loreal’s mascaras. I used them through high school, college and beyond. I’d been switching it up lately but decided to come back around and try this one and was not disappointed. I love double brushes and the primer… it seriously helps so much!
This one isn’t a new find this month, but I still had to share. I’d been using a bb cream for the past while and decided to go back to this. I’m not a fan of a heavy foundation and this one provides just enough coverage while still staying light.
I have combination skin and it takes such a beating in the winter. A good moisturizer is key! I love how buttery this one is but it doesn’t make my skin oily. It actually reminds me of La Mer but for a fraction of the price.
I guess I should have said I was obsessed with this whole line. I’ve been really focusing on skin care this month and finding a serum I loved was important to me. I use this on my face and neck at night before applying the moisturizer. I’ve already noticed a difference.
I’d never tried a cleansing oil but it seems to be working! I typically use this one to remove my makeup and then follow with my normal cleanser. However, when I’m not wearing makeup I just use this to cleanse my face.
Something else that’s not new to me this month but I couldn’t have lived without. I swap my shoes for these babies as soon as I get home. Since they have a rubber sole I can take Mackie out to the backyard without putting regular shoes back on. I go through about a pair of these a year and sometimes even end up wearing them out to run errands.
OK – I’m really excited about this! I’ve been wanting the new Chloe Isa espadrille wedges since I saw them but did not want to spend over $600! I came across this amazing dupe for $15 and just had to share!
