Crosby is five months old today! It’s crazy how fast it’s going – we’re trying to savor every minute while she’s still this small but she’s changing every day. This month she’s starting interacting with us much more and has finally started to notice and pet Mackie. I can’t wait to see their relationship develop.

When I was pregnant I had so many thoughts on how things would be once Crosby arrived. Like every first time mom I only wanted the best for her – the best car seat, bassinet, diapers, wipes, etc. I planned to exclusively breast feed, but sometimes things don’t go according to plan.
For the past 4 months I’ve felt like a legit paparazzi. Jeff and I even sing the Lady Gaga chorus to each other when we walk into a room and find the other one doing a full-on photo shoot with Crosby! All of you mamas out there know exactly what I’m talking about. We just can’t take enough photos of our little peanut.
The first few weeks with a newborn are rough and nothing can really prepare you for it. When I was pregnant everyone told me to get all the sleep I could because once the baby arrived I’d be a zombie. And I did because I never had a problem sleeping or got to an uncomfortable stage in my pregnancy – I was lucky. However, once Crosby arrived I turned into that sleep deprived zombie everyone warned me about. It was hard to see it as temporary and imagine life on the other side.
When I was pregnant I spent so much time looking for the perfect diaper bag. And at first I was really underwhelmed with what I was finding. Most were bags I’d never want to carry, I couldn’t understand why it was so hard to make a cute diaper bag. Flash forward to now, with a four-month-old, and I’m realizing that not only do I want a diaper bag to be cute, but I also need it to be functional. I think I finally found one that’s both!
