This post has been a long time coming, but I’ve been getting a ton of questions about my hair. I wanted to get it all together in one post so I’m breaking it down into different sections with all the products and tools I use.

When I think back to how I packed my hospital bag for Crosby’s birth 7 months ago, I laugh. I actually planned to shoot a post on what I packed the day she was born (she was a week and a half early). I did so much research, seriously I think I read every Pinterest post on the best things to pack. So when it came time I thought I was set. I had slippers, my own pillows, flip flops for the shower, etc.
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is stockings and stocking stuffers. A couple years ago I bought 3 stockings for Jeff, Mackie and I from West Elm and this year I went to order one for baby, but they were discontinued. I found this one to go along with ours. And after she’s born I’ll have her name embroidered across the top to match ours.
I’ve been so lucky and have had a pretty easy pregnancy so far. No first trimester morning sickness or anything other than crazy fatigue and hunger, but it’s still been an adjustment. I was prepared for all the diet modifications and lists of foods and drinks that were off-limits, what I wasn’t prepared for was all the beauty products you can’t use. Obviously anything you put on your skin is absorbed into your blood stream, and you don’t want those things to harm baby. Luckily I’ve found (and already had a few) great pregnancy approved products I wanted to share.
belli oil, palmers belly butter, bio oil, pouf
One of the questions I’m asked most is how do I do my hair? I wanted to get a tutorial up here but time got away from me… I still might one day. But for now I thought I’d share some of my hair secrets. I’m lucky to be blessed with a lot of straight hair. Although if it were up to me it would have at least a little wave/curl to it #grassisalwaysgreener.
I’d say about 85% of the time I let my hair air dry and don’t bother “styling” it. This is mostly during the week when I’m working. But sometimes I don’t touch it before I take pictures for the blog. Those are the ones you see of me with a hat on, a braid or just straight don’t get AF hair. However, I actually love to style my hair (though it does take some time) and these are the tools I rely on.
T3 wand c/o- up until recently I used a regular curling iron without using the clamp. This thing is a game-changer that’s changed my life. Dramatic? Maybe but here’s the deal… you place a section of hair in the clamp and with a touch of a button, the technology detects the motion of your hand and automatically propels the barrel in the desired direction. It basically curls your hair at the turn of your wrist!
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave In – I’ve written about this before so I’ll keep it simple. My hair gets so tangled when it’s wet and this is the only thing that allows me to get a wet brush through it. I’d buy stock in it if I could.
Aveda Thickening Tonic and Love Oil c/o- if you’re heat styling your hair you need to treat it to a little TLC. These are both amazing and leave my hair feeling nourished and trauma free. I even use a little if I’m not putting heat on it while letting it air-dry.
1907 Blow Dryer and Round Brushes c/o- like I mentioned, I let my hair air-dry most of the time. So when I reach for a blow dryer it better be the best of the best. I’ve been loving this one from 1907 and the brushes that go along with it. When I want a sleek blow-out look this is what I use.
Happy weekend – thanks for reading!
