Toddler/Baby 14 Month Favorites

June 23, 2020 by ashadmin No Comments

It seems like just yesterday Wilder was born and I was trying to navigate a toddler and a newborn. Now I’m juggling two toddlers and time is seriously flying. Wilder is 14 months old, but honestly he seems like more of a baby than a toddler. Maybe it’s because he’s the youngest, but I’m not really in a hurry for him to grow up. Today I want to share our favorite toys and things at this age.

Learning Walker – we got this when Crosby was a baby but really didn’t use it that much. All kids are different and since Wilder isn’t walking on his own yet, this has gotten a TON of use, it’s probably his most used toy. He can run with it and can navigate it so well.

Push Car – up until recently this was my favorite way to keep Wilder contained in our backyard. He was perfectly content with being pushed around in it for so long, which was nice for me to have while chasing after Crosby too.

Cozy Coupe Car – this is now Wilder’s favorite car to play with in our backyard. He absolutely loves pushing it around and basically uses it as a walker. Crosby loves to ride in it so it’s a nice way for them to collaborate and play together – she rides, he pushes.

Water Table – this was one of Wilder’s birthday gifts and it’s been used almost every day since April. Both kids love playing with it – Crosby uses it as a baby doll bath and Wilder has so much fun splashing in it. It’s such a great toy for toddlers of all ages.

Mini Scooter – this is another hand-me-down from Crosby that Wilder is just started to get into. It’s the perfect tiny learning scooter that has a seat they can sit on when they’re first using it. Eventually the seat comes off and they can scoot on it.

Ride On Car – another toddler favorite, these cars are a great size and perfect for the baby to toddler transition.

Clothing

I love little boys in basics; t-shirts and cotton shorts are pretty much what Wilder wears every day. Here are my favorites:

T-shirts – Target has the best selection (and prices). Wilder has so many of these.

Shorts – we have a lot from Target and Old Navy.

Pajamas – I love Burts Bees baby pjs. These two piece sets are perfect for toddlers.

Native Shoes – the perfect toddler boy shoe; indestructible, water proof and protect their feet if they’re still crawling. I’ve found them to run a little small and would recommend sizing up.

Eleven Months With Wilder

March 10, 2020 by ashadmin No Comments

Eleven months! One more month until Wilder is one, I just can’t believe it. His face is basically how I feel about him almost being a toddler. I just want to keep him a baby forever. He’s had a pretty busy month… his top 4 teeth popped through, speed crawls all through the house and pulls himself up on anything and everything.

I’ve been buying him some spring clothes I wanted to share. I think little boys look so cute in basics… henley’s, t-shirts, etc so that’s what I’ve been buying! They’re comfy and perfect for play.

These henley’s from H&M, they come in a 2 pack. The quality is great and they run a little big.

Also love these shorts from H&M and think we need at least one more color. They also run big, I went down a size and think they’ll fit for at least a few months. They even have an adjustable waistband.

Target has really good basic t-shirts right now. I bought this one, this one, this one and this one all in 12 month size. This one is super cute too. They’re a little big now but should fit for awhile.

I also picked up these shorts at Target, they’re similar to the H&M pair but you can never have enough basics.

We spend a lot of time outside and I like to keep a hat on his head as much as possible. This one is so cute and goes with most of his clothes.

He’s had this jacket since he was born but has outgrown it… I love it so much I got it in a bigger size so he can continue to twin with me and Crosby.

For sure I’m still loving Freshly Picked moccasins and these slip on checkered vans. Once he starts walking I’ll get him some more hard sole shoes.

Hope you have a great day – thank you so much for reading and following!

Cute/Not Cheesy Baby Boy Clothes

July 17, 2019 by ashadmin No Comments

One of the questions I’ve been asked the most lately is where I find Wilder’s clothes. The answer is literally everywhere! I did this post a few months ago about my favorite places to buy clothes for baby boys, but thought I should update it with more favs.

Here’s just one of the DM’s I’ve gotten about this… so I know it’s an on-going problem!

Let’s be real, when you go into a baby clothes section at least 70% is devoted to baby girls. The boy stuff always seems like it was an after thought and is a lot harder to find cute pieces. Luckily I love a challenge so this has become a fun game for me.

Places I always look for basics:

Target – Cat & Jack brand is my favorite. They usually cute onesies and pants/shorts.

Old Navy – You kind of have to weed through all the stuff that’s cheesy/cutesie but I’ve found some cute things. Like the kiwi romper pictured above.

H&M – Online is much better than in store… however orders take forever to get to you. 100% worth the wait.

Cotton On Kids – The opposite of H&M. I usually have better luck in store, but if you don’t live near one online is fine.

Unique finds:

Rags to Raches – I was first introduced to them at an event when Crosby was a baby. They gifted me a couple gender neutral rompers that Wilder is also wearing. Really cute stuff.

Monica & Andy – Really cute prints and everything is so soft.

Coco Moon Hawaii – Tropical/Hawaii inspired prints

Soverign Code – Obsessed with everything they do. Found at Bloomingdales.

Kate Quinn – Cute prints and even have some matching for brothers and sisters. Love that.

Tea Collection – Great quality and cute prints.

Tucker & Tate – Can be hit or miss but I’m loving their rompers right now.

Please share your favorite places to find baby boy clothes – we’re all in this together!
