After spending so much of the last year at home I find myself staying the rooms in my house and visualizing how I'd re-do them. One space that's been bugging me for awhile was our den. It's a sitting area in between our living room and dining room - the middle of our "great" room....

Since we've been spending so much time outside during the stay at home period, we've finally worked on some finishing touches to bring the patio together. A couple rugs, new throw pillows, another umbrella and finally having our tv installed have made a huge difference. Luckily the weather has been amazing so we can spend a lot outside. Jeff and I have especially loved sitting outside once the kids go to sleep at night.

Now that I’m home every day and the weather is so nice I’ve been spending a lot more time in our backyard. Last year when we were doing our big home renovation we did a little updating to the backyard (see pictures below) and since then we’ve purchased a few things to utilize the space. We really lucked out with the size and have a lot of room to work with. That said there are still some things on our wish list and hopefully we’ll get them checked off before summer. continue reading
