I can’t believe Thanksgiving is just a couple weeks away! I feel like it always kind of sneaks up on us after Halloween, but this year I’m especially excited for it. Do you dress up for the day or go more casual? I’m all about casual and comfort – basically anything I can wear to chase around two toddlers and eat and drink to my hearts content. Today I wanted to share 8 casual Thanksgiving outfit ideas that you can easily recreate with pieces from your own closet.
We did it! We moved Crosby into her new bedroom over the weekend… so far, so good… or about as good as can be expected while she’s teething and going through a sleep regression. No one is getting a full night’s rest around here these days. Now that we have less than seven weeks until baby boy is due, it’s crunch time to get the nursery ready. I wore this outfit on Sunday when we officially made the room switch, snapped a mirror selfie and got so many questions about where my overalls and other pieces were from, I knew I had to shoot it for a blog post.
Lots of questions regarding if these were maternity overalls. They are! I got them from Pink Blush about a month ago, but they’ve since sold out in most sizes. Sad! They seem to re-stock pretty often, so definitely keep an eye out if you’re interested. Size note, I’m wearing a small and they fit perfectly. I did find a few similar maternity pairs here and here and non-maternity here and here.
I also want to mention that Shopbop is having one of their amazing sales where the more you spend, the more you save. I’ve had my eye on these these slides for awhile now. I think they’re so cute for spring and summer. I always use these sales to shop my favorite brands – Free People, BB Dakota, Levi’s, Agolde, Peixoto, PilyQ.

Happy Friday! Jeff was out of town all week, so I’m even more ready for the weekend. It was his first time being away since we had Crosby so I escaped to my parents house for some extra help. 🙂
Still going with this henley and I still have it in blush to share too – oops! It’s really practical for everyday wear, especially now that it’s winter. If you live somewhere colder and need to wear a coat or more layers it’s really great for layering. Since our weather is pretty mild I can usually get away with wearing a light sweater over it, but I shared here it with a heavier jacket last week.
We spent New Years Eve at a friend’s house and this is what I wore. Gone are the days of getting overly dressed up in a tight dress and uncomfortable shoes – at least for now – and I couldn’t be happier about it. It was our first full-night away from Crosby and we all survived. 🙂
I share a lot of products on the blog but one question I get asked a lot is what I’m actually buying myself. I thought it would be fun to start a monthly series where I share some recent purchases since I love seeing what bloggers I follow are buying.
