We just got back from a quick staycation at Monarch Beach Resort. It was my first time being away from both kids overnight in SO LONG. Jeff and I went with friends and had a blast. We packed a lot into just over 24 hours and I packed several outfits as well. I wanted to share a breakdown of everything I wore.
Each year my obsession with rompers and jumpsuits grows. I love their easy wearability and instant chicness they provide. They’re an entire outfit in one piece! A onesie! With a few trips on the horizon (bachelorette party, honeymoon :)) I have my eyes set on several. Regardless if you’re planning for trips or just a fun summer staycation you are bound to need at least one. I’ve pulled my favorites of the season for you.
I broke out this versatile J. Crew dress on our staycation last weekend and lit up the resort! I played up the bright dress with an equally bold statement necklace and bag and mellowed things out with my trusty gold wedges. I always think it’s good to stick to simple silhouettes when going with neon so you don’t look overly trendy. It seems like each season J. Crew comes out with different colors in this signature dress and they’re always the perfect canvas for styling.
As I mentioned Monday, over the weekend Jeff and I had a little staycation at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village… just about 30 minutes north of LA. The resort boasts that it’s “known for being unknown” and we couldn’t agree more! It was a great escape from the city, we were so relaxed and far removed from our every day lives (his is more stressful than mine).
After we checked in we did a little exploring on the beautiful grounds.
Our next stop was Onyx for a delicious sushi spread.
I scored this Clover Canyon dress at a sample sale a few months back and had been dying to wear it! As seen here and here, Clover Canyon is one of my new favorite designers that I just can’t get enough of. I especially loved how this printed dress looked with this neon statement necklace. Sometimes in fashion, more really is more.
