I originally bought this dress from ASOS for our engagement pictures, thinking it would look soft, wispy and pretty on the beach. Unfortunately when I showed Jeff he said it looked like something from “Little House on the Prairie.” Normally I wouldn’t care what he thought and just wear it anyway, but since they’re our engagement pictures I decided to listen to him and find a different dress. I don’t want to look back a few years from now and, god forbid, agree with him. However, I was determined to show him this wasn’t something a Quaker (his words, not mine) would wear and put my own spin on it. He ended up liking it a little more, I think.
When we woke up Sunday morning we realized we were out of coffee filters – the horror! We ventured out for breakfast and found this random old diner in our neighborhood that we’d never been to. We ended up loving it’s vintage vibes; the tufted booths and crackled mirrors made us feel like we were transported back to it’s grand opening in 1947. And, the icing on the cake was that my outfit fit in perfectly. So not a Pilgrim… or whatever.
