I’ve been trying to simplify my closet and stock it full of staples I know I’ll actually wear. Lately that means athleisure, shorts, jeans and basic tops that go with everything. Cotton tanks, tees, cropped shirts, etc. I love a good top that you can wear with everything from bike shorts to jeans – from taking the kids for a neighborhood walk and (someday) run errands or go out to eat. Today I’m sharing a round up of my go-to tops.

It’s so hard to believe Memorial Day weekend is here! Between the haze of the past few months and it being a little earlier this year, it really snuck up on me. I always think of this weekend as the unofficial start of summer, but our weather has been so great lately it kind of feels like it already began. There are always amazing sales this weekend, it’s a really good time to use the sales on bigger ticket items like furniture/outdoor. I’m rounding up all the best sales from my favorite retailers below.

I’m a big sucker for matching outfits, especially brother sister matching outfits. I really don’t think there’s much cuter than matching siblings and I’m trying to take advantage while they’re little and I still have semi-control (Crosby will only wear dresses so as long as her’s is a dress I’m good). I wanted to share my favorite place to find their matching outfits!

I’m a huge fan of bike shorts and have slowly been getting my friends on board with this trend too. If you think about it, they’re basically just short leggings and perfect for the days it’s too hot to wear pants. I have a rotation of pairs I’ve been wearing and wanted to share my favorites.

At this point I’ve lost track of how many days we’ve been in quarantine. I’m currently somewhere between not knowing what day it is and wondering how much longer this is going to last. But I’m trying to make the most of it and stay positive. One thing that’s really helping is making my house feel as peaceful as possible. I’ve been working on cleaning out closets, disinfecting anything that’s ever been touched, organizing and diffusing aromatherapy with my new Aera diffuser.

Another post from our backyard… when the weather’s nice we practically live out here. The kids have been loving playing in the inflatable pool and water table. A few weeks ago I realized Wilder didn’t have a swimsuit that fit currently so I went to order some. I had no idea how hard it would be to find cute swimsuits for little boys! I’m able to find Crosby cute swimsuits basically anywhere so this is a new challenge. I’ve done a deep dive on in the internet and finally found some cute options.

Woah, hello May! I’m not sure how it’s possible but April went by both at lightening speed and a snails pace. The first half of the month we had cold weather and rain, but the second has been filled with sunny days and the best weather. That probably has something to do with it. My April best sellers will give you an idea of what everyone has been up to…. spending all their time at home.
