This time of year is always a little tricky for me to dress for. It’s definitely still summer here (it will be warm until at least November), on one hand I’d love to live in swimwear and cutoffs all year, but part of me wants a little bit of fall. I’m starting to shop and incorporate a few fall-ish items into my wardrobe.

Summer Staycation Wardrobe
We just got back from a quick staycation at Monarch Beach Resort. It was my first time being away from both kids overnight in SO LONG. Jeff and I went with friends and had a blast. We packed a lot into just over 24 hours and I packed several outfits as well. I wanted to share a breakdown of everything I wore.

August Top 5
Hello September! I read a funny meme the other day that said, “I can’t believe it’s already September. Wasn’t it just March 15 years ago?” Pretty much sums up 2020 so far. Somehow the months are speeding by but the days can feel so long. Today I’m sharing my top 5 best sellers from August.

Amazon Sunglasses I Love
It’s no secret I love accessories. Bracelets, necklaces, handbags, hats, etc. I’m a fan of them all. One accessory I wear every day in the summer is a pair of sunglasses. I keep a few in my car and the rest in this amazing case I found on Amazon. It’s perfect for storing up to 5 pairs at a time… it rolls up pretty small and would be great for travel (whenever that happens). Today I want to share 4 of my favorite pairs of inexpensive glasses I found on Amazon.

End Of Summer Swim Sales
Calendar wise the end of August is typically the end of summer, but in southern California (and several other places), summer is just heating up. We will have really hot days until at least Halloween and this year I really want to soak them up at the beach as much as possible. Usually by September the crowds are a lot smaller and the beach is easier to do. Fingers crossed that’s still true for this wacky year.

Kid’s/Guest Bathroom Inspiration
Having spent the majority of the past five months at home we’ve really had time to think about what areas I want to change/improve. We bought our house almost five years ago and did a lot of remodeling right off the bat, however our budget was only so big… and then we started having kids and everything remodeling took a backseat. We are about to dive back in and I couldn’t be more excited to finally get some of these things crossed off our ever growing list.

New Brand I Love
romper, slides, chain necklace, coin necklace, star necklace
Wardrobe wise, I have a rotation of brands I know and love but they’ve been feeling a little stale. Lately I’ve been trying to mix up my wardrobe and find some new brands/designers to add to the mix. My newest brand discovery is Heartloom – I received a few pieces over the weekend and was instantly obsessed. Everything is really well made and unique. I wanted to share my favorites.

The $15 Tank I Can’t Shut Up About
If the last four months have taught me anything fashion-wise it’s that a good wardrobe of staples goes a long way. Case in point, this $15 u-neck cotton tank top I bought back in April and can’t stop wearing. I first purchased it in gray but went back for black and white because it’s such a great basic. I’ve worn one of them at least once a week since and have continued to be happy… it’s really soft/great quality for the price. Topshop sizing can run a little small and I sized up to a US 4 for a looser fit and love the way it hangs. This tank always sells out really fast but is back in stock right now – I made sure to order a back up in white (my most worn).
