We went into the weekend without many plans, but it still ended up being one of the best in awhile. We ran errands, went to our favorite outdoor malls, cleaned the house and visited another pumpkin patch with friends. This week we’re heading to the mountains with family… no Monday blues here! I’ve always been a sucker for a white top. They’re so versatile and can be worn year round. This one feels extra special because it has little bits of metallic woven into it. I can easily see it worn around the holidays with darker denim and boots… and then again in the summer months with shorts and sandals.

This is a typical everyday outfit for me. Casual basics that are wearable, comfortable and practical. Just swap the shorts for jeans when it gets a little cooler and you have a look I wear year round.

I wanted to do a quick post today to share some of my recent outfits. I’m kind of starting to dress more for fall and that’s reflected mostly by the colors I’ve been wearing. Darker hues with some pops. I’m loving mustard or marigold… whatever you want to call it.

The calendar says it’s officially fall and I’m celebrating with a new leopard cardigan. I love leopard all year round, but think it’s especially perfect for fall. It’s basically a neutral that can be worn with so many colors.

It’s still pretty warm here, but I’m trying to start to transition my wardrobe to fall, little by little. The easiest way to do that is with color.

Although I do like to dress up, I’m all about practical style. It just fits in with my life. When shopping I look for pieces I can wear every day while working from home and playing with an active toddler, that still work if I am out and about.

Another weekend that went by way too fast. We didn’t have any plans this weekend so it was nice to relax and catch up with stuff at home. Still not feeling ready for Monday! I’m test driving the belt bag trend today and I have to tell you, I already love it. I went with this really affordable black quilted belt bag… and of course, after I purchased it, it went on major sale.
