I can’t believe today is our first anniversary. It feels like we just got married yesterday and years ago at the same time. Our first year was so busy and fun!

We traveled a lot… Mexico, New York, Las Vegas, Palm Springs (multiple times), Arizona, San Francisco, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. We bought and remodeled our first house together. Might be the last too, because after it I swore I was never moving again. We worked hard building our businesses and celebrated every accomplishment along the way. continue reading

Now that we’ve been married for almost a year and settled into our house, can I say that I love a monogram?! I was so excited to connect with White Elephant Designs for our new monogrammed ice bucket and tray!

I mean how perfect are these for entertaining?I also think they’d be great gifts for engaged or newly married friends!

I thought I had a handle on all the wedding planning and then we got to the one month mark. Suddenly all kinds of new details were creeping up and we had more decisions to make. I’m almost to the point, scratch that, I am to the point where if I have to make one more decision I will lose my mind.

BHLDN has been my savior for the last minute touches. I keep remembering something I’ve forgotten and gone to the site to purchase it. The last thing was a card holder – I found this one and love it. After the wedding I can use it as a jewelry box. Win win!

Welcome Monday! I’m so excited because it’s my wedding week! Part of me feels like we’ve been planning for years and part of me feels like we just got engaged yesterday. It’s super surreal that it’s almost here and I’m so excited!

I thought I’d kick off this week with a little white romper. I actually ordered this a few months back to wear to my first shower but it didn’t arrive on time. All was fine and I ended up wearing this dress that I loved just as much. But back to this romper, I’d never seen one quite like this (and I have A LOT of rompers), the ruffle detail was what sold me. I’m actually planning on wearing this the day after our wedding to our family brunch.

A few months back I went on a peplum binge and scooped up everything pep I came across. H&M kept this trend fully stocked and this was my choice for perfect spring top. The best part? It was under $13. I’ve worn it at least four times the past two months, which means it’s cost me a little more than $3 a wear. Love that!

My friend Nikki from Bedazzles After Dark tagged me in a five things post. So here are five things you (probably) don’t know about me.

1. I met Britney Spears just hours before she married Jason Alexander in Vegas back in 2004. She was at the same restaurant in the Palms as my friends and I so a few of us went over to talk to her. I was a majorly star-struck 19-year-old and she couldn’t have been nicer!
2. When I was a kid I would spend hours drawing floor plans of houses. I thought I wanted to be an architect but hated math, I’ve always been really into home design.
3. I was born in the small town of Cottonwood Arizona and lived there for the first seven months of  my life.
4. I’m a textural eater. I hate potatoes and tomatoes, but love french fries and ketchup.
5. Working in the entertainment industry I’ve been insulted by everyone from Martha Stewart to Taylor Momsen. I just laugh because it’s funny and makes for great stories.
