My clothing purchases over the last 10+ months have heavily leaned toward comfort and practicality. I’ve bought a lot less fancy things like dresses, heels and accessories and a lot more wardrobe basics and loungewear. I’m also embracing wearing my loungewear out in public… or as public as I go these days (the grocery store) and don’t see that changing any time soon. Today I want to share the 10 lounge/pajama sets I’ve been loving.

Hello from my house! I can’t even remember what day it is or how many days we’re into the social distancing, but here I am. A month ago if you would have told me we would all be quarantined in our houses I would have thought you lost your mind, it feels surreal to be living out this weird historical event. Anyway, comfort has been my #1 priority and I’ve been living in sweats. I want to share my favorites with you and I’ll link to any similar options I find on sale.

We did a little getaway to Big Bear this past weekend and had so much fun. Our friends have a cabin up there and we’re lucky to visit at least once a year. We’ve been going since Crosby was just a little older than Wilder… you can see my post from two years ago here. I was pretty anxious to travel with the kids right now so I went in with really low expectations for their sleep and was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to share the gear we brought that helped.

The quote from Mean Girls, “these sweat pants are all that fit me right now” has never suited my life more. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I dislike being pregnant in the winter. Especially this winter where it’s actually been cold and rained more than I’m used to and I’ve needed to bundle up. I know being pregnant in the summer comes with plenty of it’s own challenges, but I’d gladly trade stuffing my body into sweaters and sweatpants for the wardrobe options of the warmer months right now.

Ever since we announced our pregnancy I’ve gotten a lot of questions about if we know the gender. I mentioned in this post, but we did a blood test back in September and actually found out then. I did a poll on IG stories the other day asking what you thought we were having and the results came back an even split. Exactly the same number of votes for a girl and same for a boy. What are the odds?! We plan to spill the beans soon… but first I thought it would be fun to test out some gender predicting old wives tales.

Happy Thanksgiving week! I cannot believe how quickly this holiday crept up on us this year, but I feel like I’m going to be saying that about every holiday from now on. I put this casual outfit together with post-holiday comfort in mind. It could be something you wear to travel this week, after the big meal Thursday when you want to relax, on black Friday when the last thing you want to do is put on pants with a zipper. Or maybe that’s just me… #pregnancyproblems.

And just like that it’s November. Don’t blink or it will be 2019. Over the weekend I posted an IG story wearing this outfit and got lots of questions about my chunky cardigan. It’s the Free People Sunday Morning cardigan and I purchased during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Sadly, it’s mostly sold out in this light grey color but it’s fully stocked in black here and a few other colors here.

TGIF! Was this week extra long for anyone else! For me it was because Jeff was out of town and I was solo parenting until last night. I did had some help, but I am exhausted. Shout out to all the single parent’s out there, I have a huge respect for you. ALSO today is the first day of public access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
