Here’s a look at a typical easy summer outfit for me. As I mentioned yesterday, I’m dressing to beat the heat in cutoff shorts and breezy tops.

It was getting a little repetitive so last week I stopped into Forever 21 and found a few new things. One being this top. I absolutely loved everything about it… especially the color. Sometimes sizing is a little strange at F21 and I found that to be the case with this top. It’s really loose and wide and desperately needs to be taken in. But until I can get around to bringing it to a tailor, I did a little styling trick with some safety pins. It’s fixed… for now.

I also wanted to share my summer reading list. I used to be an avid reader, but as I got older and my life got busier I didn’t have as much time to get into a book. Something changed this summer. I’ve read about three books in the past month and have a list of recommendations I still want to get to.

I typically go for fun, light reads and read when I’m by the pool or at the beach. Well, that was before Crosby. Now I read before bed or if I’m all caught up on work and she’s napping.

All We Ever Wanted – Emily Giffin (always love Emily Giffin’s books and this was no exception)

When Life Gives You Lululemons – Lauren Weisberger (a sort of sequel to The Devil Wear’s Prada, fun light read)

The Party – Robyn Harding (really suspenseful, but I loved it)

All The Missing Girls (reading this now)

The Woman In Cabin 10 – Ruth Ware

Small Great Things – Jodi Picoult

My Husband’s Wife – Jane Corry

The French Girl  – Lexie Elliot

The Marriage Lie – Kimberly Belle

How To Get Your Kid To Eat: But Not Too Much (reading this now)
