In the summer I always gravitate towards white dresses. They’re my favorite thing to wear when it’s warm and I love how versatile they are. I got started a little early this year when I found this pretty white eyelet dress from TEXTILE at Walmart.

Happy Memorial Day! The sun is finally out and we’re spending the day outside. It might not be super warm but that’s not going to stop us. Last year Crosby and I wore the blue version of these cute Peixoto pom pom coverups in Palm Springs. We were so excited for a new set this year… I’m still going strong with anything “mommy and me” matching.

I’m such a warm weather girl and spring and summer are my favorite seasons. If it’s cool or rainy for any real length of time I’m not myself. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve gotten a few new spring pieces that I’m excited about. It’s been a little chilly here lately and all I want is for it to warm up so I can wear them!

One of our favorite photographers, Gray Malin, recently released a collection of prints all from the coast of Orange County. We went to an event to celebrate a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with a few of the shots. We were even lucky enough to snag one for our house and found the perfect spot for it to live… right over Crosby’s table!

This summer has been kind of a blur. Not necessarily busy everyday but we’ve done a lot! I just realized I had several outfits I posted on instagram that never made it to the blog. In a perfect world, I’d get dressed everyday and take pics… but let’s be honest, that doesn’t happen. We used to shoot a few looks on the weekends that I would blog during the week. Now, life is a bit busier and we’re lucky to do one or two (on top of campaigns and other things we’re working on). Anyway… today I’m sharing the outfits that I almost let get away.

Some pictures from our family beach evening last week. Late afternoon/early evening is our favorite time to go lately because it’s not crowded and a lot cooler than the afternoon. I got this suit from Peixoto months ago but this was surprisingly the first time I’ve worn it. It’s no longer available in black but I found it in Navy... which I might even like more. And of course, Crosby was so cute in her little Burberry suit.

If you can’t tell from these photos, it’s getting harder and harder to take pictures with a toddler. Crosby would much rather be running around than stay still for a photo. But we still try. Sunday we put on some pretty dresses, did our hair (how cute are her pig tails?!) and headed out to shoot these. I think they may be some of my favorites because she was so in her natural element…. which is non-stop.
