Hello from my house! I can’t even remember what day it is or how many days we’re into the social distancing, but here I am. A month ago if you would have told me we would all be quarantined in our houses I would have thought you lost your mind, it feels surreal to be living out this weird historical event. Anyway, comfort has been my #1 priority and I’ve been living in sweats. I want to share my five favorite lounge wear sets with you and I’ll link to any similar options I find on sale.
Maybe it’s because our weather has been so warm this week, but I’m really feeling spring right now! I absolutely love the start of spring (really any new season), but I think spring clothes are my favorite. The easiest way to start transitioning your wardrobe right now is with sweaters you can wear when it’s both cold and warm. I found six that are perfect to refresh your winter wardrobe and wear into the warmer months over dresses, shorts and skirts.
The detailing on this sweater is gorgeous and I really love the side ties. So pretty and can be worn so many ways. It would look great over a swimsuit or a dress.
I did the bra tuck with this one to fake a cropped look, but it’s definitely a full length sweater. I think the color is so pretty, especially with these white jeans. It comes in two other colors as well.
I wore this to an event earlier in the month and loved how flattering it was. The wrap style lets you adjust how fitted you want it to be so. It’s the perfect neutral to wear with just about anything.
Hope you’ve had a great week – thank you so much for reading and following!
We’re in that weird holiday fog between Christmas and New Year’s where every day blends together and I don’t really know what to do with myself. Truthfully I’ve been pretty lazy and it’s been amazing, but I’m starting to get a little restless and ready to do a little work. Today I wanted to share a blog post with four very different outfit ideas for New Years Eve.
I got this dress a few months back and tucked it away for a special occasion. It’s such a fun sequin cocktail dress, but my favorite part is the fringe on the bottom. I think it would be perfect if you’re going to any 20’s theme party… or just want something a little different.
This dress is a bit of a splurge but it’s one I’ll have for many years to come. It’s vegan leather and runs pretty TTS. Also comes in a really pretty tealish blue.
I included this outfit in my holiday party outfit post too, but I the top also works for NYE. If you’re looking for something a little more casual than a dress but still want to be dressed fo the occasion. Love it with these dressy joggers, you could also pair it with black jeans or leather pants.
If you’re staying in this year, these joggers are the way to go. They’re so soft (I sleep in them pretty often), have pockets and come in a few fun prints. There’s also a matching hoodie if you want a coordinating set. Honestly a night of comfort sounds like an amazing way to ring in a new decade.
I’m actually still trying to figure out our plans for the night so I have no idea what I’ll be wearing.
Over the weekend Crosby turned two and a half and we celebrated with donuts and coffee at the beach. Does anyone else celebrate half birthdays? She’s obsessed with birthdays right now but doesn’t quite get what a half birthday is. Ha!
I got this dress in the mail last week and thought it would be perfect for a fall wedding. I currently have zero on my calendar so I took it as an excuse to dress up for our outing. Crosby has had this adorable dress from Loveshackfancy just burning a whole in her closet for over a year now. It finally almost fits so she wore it for the half bday celebration. It’s definitely a dress she will be able to wear for awhile since it’s so long. She has another one that’s white and sleeveless that will be just as cute.
Wanted to share a few other dresses I’m loving for fall weddings or special occasions.
This one is perfect for a night time event. Would even work into the holiday season.
I tried this one on over the summer and was obsessed with the fit. It comes in several colors appropriate for wedding guests and would be pretty for the holidays too.
If you’re looking for lace, I love this one for fall/winter.
I was doing some online shopping last week and came across this jumpsuit. I loved how neutral and comfortable it looked and that it was something I’d be able to wear from the end of summer through fall. I quickly ordered it for in-store pick up and was even happier with it once I tried it on. I wore it over the weekend and went back online to see if I could find anything similar. I found a couple really similar options in different colors and ended up getting this striped one.
Topshop actually has a few similar, I haven’t tried them on but since I was so happy with the fit of the two I got I can only imagine they’re similar. Here’s one in olive green and here’s one in black.
I wore the striped one out rum tasting on a yacht Monday. Typing that makes me sound a lot fancier than I am. Tuesday I was back in my momiform running errands and going to the park with the kids. It was fun while it lasted!
Since I’m loving jumpsuits so much right now I wanted to share a few others at all different price points. This one is also striped and comes in two different color ways for under $16. This one looks really comfy and still chic – comes in four colors and is under $20. This one has a higher price point but I’m loving the color for this time of year. Obsessed with this camo one, it looks so cozy! This one is super cute but looks more like overalls and it’s under $100. And lastly, I love this off the shoulder one, the print is fun too.
Another look from Palm Springs last week. In the evenings we got a little dressed up for fun… and because we weren’t chasing a toddler and carrying a baby around! #parentsgonewild I found this cute black and white daisy print dress at Forever 21 and thought it would be fun to wear with this red bagfor a pop of color.
Pretty much my whole look (aside from my shoes) is from Forever 21. So crazy! I’ve been shopping there for such a long time. I always thought once I was older than 21 I’d stop… but here I am, a mom of two in my 30’s and I’m still shopping there pretty regularly.
I’m always finding cute things at F21 and I usually have better luck shopping online, the stores can be so scattered/overwhelming. On the website you can narrow down what you’re looking for and search that way. For instance, I searched for black mini dresses to find the one I’m wearing in this post. Once you choose your category there are plenty of options to search by.
I’m loving this dress for fall, would be really cute with booties and a denim jacket.
